Privacy Policy

Effective date: 18 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EUWatt collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the EUWatt iOS application and website.

EUWatt helps users understand electricity prices by showing current and historical electricity price information. Electricity market price data is public market data and is not personal data.

1. Who we are

The data controller for EUWatt is Valerijs Fjodorovs, Latvia.

Website: https://euwatt.topporation.com Privacy contact: euwatt.support@topporation.com

You can contact us at this email address if you have questions about this Privacy Policy, your personal data, or account deletion.

2. Personal data we collect

EUWatt collects only the personal data needed to provide, secure, and maintain the app.

Account information We collect your email address and account identifier to create and manage your account and allow you to log in.

Login information We process password authentication data to authenticate your account. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are not stored as plain text.

Technical and security logs We may process limited technical information such as request time, error information, IP address, device or browser information, app version, and similar technical information. We use this information to keep the app secure, debug problems, prevent misuse, and maintain the service.

Crash and diagnostic information We may process crash reports, errors, and diagnostic information to understand technical problems, improve app stability, and fix bugs. EUWatt does not currently use a third-party crash reporting SDK.

Support communications If you contact us at euwatt.support@topporation.com, we may process the information in your message and related email metadata so we can respond to your request.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, such as health data, biometric data, precise location, or payment card information.

3. Data we do not collect or use

EUWatt does not sell personal data, show advertising, or track users across other companies’ apps or websites.

EUWatt does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, in-app purchases, paid subscriptions, or external payment processors.

If our data practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide additional notice or ask for consent.

4. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • allow users to log in securely;
  • provide the EUWatt app and its features;
  • maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app;
  • detect, investigate, and fix bugs, crashes, or security issues;
  • respond to support and privacy requests;
  • protect the security of our systems and prevent misuse;
  • comply with legal obligations where required.

5. Legal basis for processing

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection rules, we rely on the following legal bases:

Contract: to create and manage your account, allow secure login, and provide the EUWatt app and its features.

Legitimate interests: to keep the app secure, prevent misuse, maintain the service, debug technical issues, fix crashes, and improve app stability.

Legal obligation: to comply with laws, regulatory requests, or legal requirements where applicable.

Consent: for optional processing where consent is legally required. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Providing your email address and login credentials is necessary if you want to create and use an EUWatt account. If you do not provide this information, you may not be able to use account-based features.

6. Hosting and service providers

EUWatt uses a backend server and database to operate the app. Our backend and database are currently hosted using Oracle Cloud in the Netherlands.

We currently use the following service providers or platform services:

Oracle Cloud — hosting, backend infrastructure, and database storage;

Apple — App Store distribution and Apple platform services, where applicable.

Service providers may process personal data only as needed to provide services to us and must protect that data appropriately. If we add new service providers that process personal data, we will update this Privacy Policy where required.

7. Sharing personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data only:

  • with service providers that help us operate EUWatt, such as Oracle Cloud;
  • with Apple where necessary for App Store distribution or Apple platform services;
  • with legal or regulatory authorities if required by law;
  • with a successor owner or operator if EUWatt is transferred as part of a business sale, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or similar transaction.

8. International transfers

EUWatt is operated from Latvia, and our backend and database are currently hosted in the Netherlands.

If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will use appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection law, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Technical and security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, fraud prevention, and system maintenance.

Support emails are kept for up to 12 months after the support request is resolved, unless a longer period is needed for legal or security reasons.

Deleted data may remain in secure backups until those backups are overwritten. Backup data is not restored into active systems except where necessary for security, disaster recovery, or legal reasons.

We do not currently keep payment records because EUWatt does not process payments.

10. Account deletion

You can delete your account directly inside the EUWatt app. You may also request account deletion by contacting euwatt.support@topporation.com.

After account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account unless we are legally required or have a legitimate security reason to keep limited information.

Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your EUWatt account. To delete your account, use the account deletion function inside the app or contact us at the email address above.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your personal data;
  • object to certain processing;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise your rights, contact euwatt.support@topporation.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests. We will respond in accordance with applicable data protection law.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including secure infrastructure, access controls, encrypted connections where appropriate, and secure password hashing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

13. Children

EUWatt is not directed to children and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or provide personal data.

If you are below the age required by your country to consent to data processing, you should use EUWatt only with permission from a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate permission, we will take steps to delete that information.

14. Automated decision-making and profiling

EUWatt does not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling. Electricity price trend analysis is generated from electricity market data, not from personal user data.

15. Website cookies

Our website does not currently use cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar website tracking technologies. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide appropriate cookie notices or consent options.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make important changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the app or website.
